James has Painted and Sketched all his life and used these skills widely.

Whilst serving with the Staffordshire Criminal Investigation dept he undertook Artist impressions of suspects, he also drew Caricatures as retirement gifts etc. Upon retirement he gained qualification in art development and teaching and has taught adults and children at colleges and at community venues for councils.

James also carries out commissions, trading from local shops and galleries. He uses all mediums but prefers Pencil and Pastel. His main subjects are Animal and Person Portraiture.
